It was a genuine pleasure to host our Good to Great Conference last week featuring Jim Collins. Dr. Collins’ talk, not surprisingly, was the highest rated talk ever (4.97) in our 15 Conferences.
I think all of us took many challenging take homes from his morning presentations (“50%”with people”, etc.). As an aside, Jim was great to work with, dedicating a full 2 hours to working with him, customizing his talk to our group.
The result was a fantastic presentation. I can also tell you that of the two times I had heard Jim Collins before his presentation last Thursday he was at least 20-30% better than the previous times (which were great presentations). Additionally, we were treated to his “new research” which, to my knowledge, was the first time it had ever been presented to an industrial and service sector group.
It was also a great pleasure to work with a true “level 5” leader in Gary Kelly. He made running Southwest almost sound easy, which of course it isn’t but I know the one thing I took our to his talk was the importance of a strong adherence to values.
As to the rest of the Conference, it was rated a “4” or “5” by 94% of the attendees (56% of the participants rated it a “5 out of 5”).
Please let us know if we may provide you with any additional information on the Conference, whether it is contact information on someone in your roundtable group, etc.
We are very glad that you could join us for this significant event and we look forward to seeing you again soon at your next meeting. In the meantime, if we may be of assistance on any area via CEN Connections (click here) please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
