Dr. Jim Goodnight

Dr. James H. Goodnight is CEO, chairman, co-founder and president of SAS, the world's largest privately held software company, located in Cary, NC. He has been the CEO since the company's incorporation in 1976.
|
In addition to a significant investment in technology, Dr. Goodnight also invests in people - SAS employees and their families. The company's work environment is designed to nurture and encourage creativity, innovation and quality. Since the early 1980s, Goodnight has supported on-site child care, health care and recreation and fitness centers. His commitment to these progressive work-life programs has earned SAS national recognition in publications such as The Wall Street Journal as well as Fortune, Fast Company, and BusinessWeek magazines.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., Goodnight holds bachelor's and master's degrees as well as a doctorate in statistics from North Carolina State University. He served on the faculty of NCSU from 1972 to 1976, and continues to serve as an adjunct professor. Goodnight is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, and has authored numerous papers on statistical computing.

American Standard
Fred Poses is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Standard Companies Inc., located in Piscataway, NJ. He was appointed President and COO in June 1998.

Prior to joining American Standard in January 2000, Poses was president and chief operating officer of AlliedSignal Inc., which has since merged with Honeywell. He joined AlliedSignal as a financial analyst in 1969 and was named general manager of the companys Home Furnishings Division in 1977. He was subsequently promoted to positions with increasing responsibility and was named president of the Engineered Materials Sector and executive vice president of the corporation in 1988. In October 1997, he was elected to the Board of Directors and named vice chairman of AlliedSignal Inc. Fred was appointed president and COO in June 1998.
Before joining AlliedSignal, Poses spent two years on assignment in Peru with the Peace Corps. He holds a B.B.A. from New York University.
He serves on the Board of Directors of Centex Corporation, Raytheon Company, The National Center for Learning Disabilities, the Eagle Hill School, and the 92nd Street Y. Fred also serves on the Board of Visitors for Duke University. |

Ann was on the ground floor of creating the culture at Southwest Airlines and JetBlue as a top executive at both companies. Ann understands how to build "people centric" cultures which deliver world class service.

Ann is a dynamic and visionary Human Resources Executive with over 25 years experience in a variety of service-based industries. She held the position of Vice President of the People Department for Southwest Airlines and Executive Vice President of Team Services for Promus Hotel Corporation and most recently, the Executive Vice President of People for JetBlue Airways where she currently remains as a Board Member as well as President of People Ink, her Human Resources consulting company.
Ann has a respected reputation in the industry for her creative approach to creating cultures around fun and for blending cultures in merger situations. During her tenure with Doubletree Hotels, later Promus Hotel Corporation, she built a service culture focused on delivering outstanding service to Guests. During the time Ann headed the People Department at Southwest Airlines, she solidified Southwest's reputation of retaining and hiring the best people in the airline business despite Southwest's rapid growth during that time. Most recently, Ann took responsibility for the creation of JetBlue Airways Corporation's People Team in New York.
In her role as head of Human Resources, Ann has been a key member of the executive team, and is extremely successful in her role as internal counsel to executives in every discipline in the organization.
Ann is a popular speaker on the subject of customer service and how to build a strong service culture. Her community involvement included the Fiesta Bowl Board, Phoenix YMCA Board of Directors, Chairman - University of New Mexico Foundation Board, Chairman - Anderson School of Business, Board of Counselors. Ann currently serves on JetBlue Airways Corporation, P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Western Warehouse Corporate Boards. Ann has an MBA in Management from the University of New Mexico. |

Jean M. Reynolds, President of Maxon Furniture Inc., joined HON INDUSTRIES in 1981. She has held numerous positions at The HON Company including positions in accounting, finance, marketing, strategic planning, customer service, and sales management, eventually becoming President of Maxon Furniture Inc. in December 1998.
Ms. Reynolds graduated with honors distinction from University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned certification as a C.P.A. from the State of Iowa. |

Craig S. Marton joined Hedstrom Corporation in October 2000 as Vice President & General Manager of the Backyard & Fun Products Division.

Prior to joining Hedstrom Corporation, Mr. Marton was self-employed as a Supply Chain Integration Consultant, specializing in Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing / Supply Base Management, and Leadership / Management development.
From 1977 through 1999 he worked with progressive companies like AlliedSignal, Tenneco and Purolator Products in senior level operating and general management roles where he was instrumental in the strategy, design and implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, Supply Chain Integration, and Organizational Development processes. Additionally, Mr. Marton was instrumental in the design and implementation of numerous business restructurings
and turn-arounds.
Mr. Marton graduated from Franklin University in 1977 with a B.S. in Business. |

Todd has over 15 years of experience in general management and consulting with Fortune 500 companies. He has expertise in Strategy, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Restructuring/ Redesign and in facilitating Senior Executives through difficult situations.

His work has included executives in Canada, England, Egypt, France, and the United States. He founded Cook and Associates to provide companies with practical approaches for creating the environment, processes, and structure where both organization and individual win.
