It was great being with everyone in Hilton Head last week at our 6th Annual Meeting!

The credit for this meeting goes to many people. Special thanks go to CEN staffers Liz and Rob for their tireless work and organization of this meeting. I also received many complements on the CEN facilitation staff.

There were a number of highlights and take homes as you can see from the representative feedback found here. My personal highlight was being able to introduce fellow CEN member and 4 star general, Walt Boomer. To me, the word "Leadership" and Walt Boomer are synonymous. Not only did Walt share with us the 4 basic principles of leadership, but most importantly, he has lived these principles throughout his career. Further, I can think of no better complement to any CEN member than the fact that Walt is in our ranks. We are all in debt to Walt for his outstanding presentation, as well as the fact that he flew in early from Tokyo the morning before to be with us!

Our theme next year will be on Innovation. We have two special Conferences around this important area which you won't want to miss.

The first of these Conferences will be our Human Capital Conference which will take place on April 22nd and 23rd at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago. Our Annual Leadership Conference will take place on November 4th and 5th in Hilton Head at The Westin Resort. I will make formal announcements after the first of the year on both Conferences, but for now please mark your calendar for these dates.
